Ingredients :
- oil as needed
- ½ tsp mustard
- ½ chopped onions
- 1 tsp chana dal
- salt as needed
- turmeric a generous pinch
- 1 cup chopped brinjal
- Putnala pappu powder 2 tbsp
- coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard. When they begin to splutter add chana dal , add onions and fry until transparent add curry leaves. sprinkle salt and turmeric.
- Add brinjal cover and cook on a low flame. Keep stirring and cook covered until the brinjal turn soft.
- Add puttapam pappu powder fry on low frame for 2 minutes.
- Serve with rice or chapathi
