- 2 cups thick beaten rice or poha
- 1cup moong dal
- 1inch ginger
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp. turmeric
- Few cashew nuts
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
Method:
- Pressure cook the moong dal with salt to taste. I cooked the moong dal in microwave so as to not overcook it.
- Soak the beaten rice for some time to soften. Drain the water completely and set aside.
- Saute cumin seeds,pepper,curry leaves and cashews in a pan. Add ginger and turmeric to it. Add both poha and moong dal and mix well.Adjust salt. Garnish with coriander leaves.
